1986 Ford Mustang LX

This page is dedicated to my first car.  I loved this car with all my heart.   We shared some great times.  The two of us had five remarkable years together.  You see my father gave me this car as a starter first car when I turned sixteen and got my drivers license.  I had taken the DMV test in his automatic Ford Tempo('88), and after passing the test I went straight home to get my car and off to my friday night on the town and to a show.  This was the greatest feeling of freedom a teenager can have.  It was in decent condition at that time.  In the beginning I simply did what I could to keep it running and street legal.  Later, it took me to work everyday at Wal-Mart Tire and Lube Express, were I picked up a lot of knowledge of cars as well as a paycheck.  Unfortunately, I rear-ended a lawyer in a Jeep Cherokee, but I got through that OK, and spent all my effort into fixing the frame dents and junk-yarding for a new hood and some other parts.  I even treated her to a paint job and some accessories (le bra, CD stereo, etc.).  I even put on a custom hitch, so I could haul my vespa to all the scooter rally's all over California, and even made it out to the Tucson-Nogalas rally.  This was great for if the scoot broke down too.  I am so sorry, I can never forgive myself for leaving you in that bad neighborhood, were they broke your door lock and took your stereo and all my things.  I also apologize for all the people that teased you for only having four cylinders, but we both know I always believed in you.  Yes, it has been a wonderful relationship for "burning rubber" and myself.  I remember all the memories back in high school that I could never forget.   All the friends I took home, to all the trouble I got into.  Now It may be time for our paths to fork, but there is always a soft spot in my heart for my first car.
